Privacy policy

The short version

We collect what you type into our forms, and we use it for one thing: to reply to your message or application, or, for the Trellis waitlist, to tell you when the game launches. We don’t sell your details and we don’t use them for advertising.

We also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. Nothing you type into a form goes to Google Analytics.

1. What we collect

• Contact form and applications to The Practice: your name, your email address, the topic you choose, and your message.
• Trellis waitlist: your email address, and the platform you play on if you choose one.
• Visits to this site: the usage information described in section 3.

You don’t need to give us anything to read this site. It has no accounts and no sign-in.

2. How we use it

• To read your message or application and reply to it. When one arrives, we are sent an email with its contents.
• To email you the day Trellis launches, if you joined the waitlist, and nothing else.

We don’t add you to a mailing list, sell or rent your details, or use them for advertising.

3. Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to tell us how it is used: which pages are visited, how people arrive (for example from a search engine or a link), and general information about the device and browser. Google works out an approximate location, such as the city or country, from your IP address.

Google Analytics sets cookies, named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, so it can recognise a returning browser. These are the only cookies this site sets. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalisation, so this data is not used for advertising.

To opt out, block cookies or scripts in your browser, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works fully without them.

4. Who handles it for us

We use a small number of service providers, and each one handles your details only to provide its service to us:

• Vercel hosts this site and runs its forms. Like any web host, it processes technical details of each request, such as your IP address, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• Neon runs the database where form submissions are stored.
• Resend delivers the email that tells us about each new message or application.
• Google provides the analytics described in section 3.

We don’t share your details with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

5. Security and retention

Your details travel over encrypted connections, and we limit access to them to the people who need it to reply to you. Our logs record that a form was submitted, never your name, email address or message.

We keep your details only as long as we need them for the reason you gave them to us. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

6. Outside Australia

Our service providers may store or process your details outside Australia, including in the United States.

7. Your rights

You can ask us what details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. Email support@mizar.com.au and we will respond within three working days.

If you’re unhappy with how we have handled your details, tell us first and we will try to put it right. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address and the effective date at the top will be updated.
